As the vision of Trinity Lutheran School promotes excellence in education, it also promotes excellence in athletics. Athletics play an important role in the overall program of Trinity Lutheran School. Coaches and school officials seek to develop the values which determine the athletes’ relationship with self, others, and ultimately with God. Student athletes will learn how to accept others, learn from others, and work with others for a sole purpose. Trinity Lutheran School sees the organized sports experience as a platform to develop athletic, social, and spiritual skills. Our athletic program allows opportunities for students to learn the fundamentals in the offered sports and provide a sense of community and pride in our school.
Football season starts in August and ends in October. Trinity students in grades 7 - 8 have the option to play with Archbishop Bergan or Fremont Public Schools for tackle football.
Volleyball season starts in September and ends in November. Students in grades 5 - 8 can participate. Typically there are three levels of play - PAL, junior varsity and varsity. All levels have the chance to compete in 20 - 30 games a year. Tournaments are often held in Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island and Norfolk.
Basketball season starts in late November and can end in late February or late March depending on qualification for the Lutheran Basketball National Tournament in Valparaiso, Indiana. Students from grades 5 - 8 are eligible to participate in basketball.
The track and field season starts in March and ends in early May. Students in grades 5 - 8 can participate in track. Trinity participates in area track meets with other private and public schools and also run in the All Lutheran School meet held at Concordia University in Seward, NE.
TRINITY ATHLETICS. JOIN OUR TEAM.
Just because we are the small school doesn't mean we don't compete. Our students athletes train hard and they compete hard against talent from across the state. Our reward is in the journey we take throughout each sport season. We are a team, with each other and for each other and we give praise to Christ in victory and defeat.
You too can join the tradition of academic and athletic excellence. Once our student athletes leave, many of them have a history of excelling at the next level and beyond. Build the foundation here, work hard and anything is possible.
