History

There are over 2000 Lutheran preschools, elementary schools, and high schools in the United States. The many Lutheran schools throughout the country share a joint mission: our schools serve the Lord by teaching children and families the message of Jesus Christ as Savior and Redeemer.

Established in 1884, Trinity Lutheran School is the oldest parochial school in Fremont. Trinity continues to be recognized for its consistent history of academic excellence and ability to promote and encourage spiritual development.

Trinity Lutheran School was established in 1884 in a rented building on Main Street in Fremont, NE. In 1888 a small two-story building was erected at 3rd and C streets for a school. While the original building is no longer standing, Trinity Early Childhood Center still provides childcare from infant to pre-school at the original site.

In 1965 a parcel of ground was purchased at 16th and Luther Rd. and construction of a new school began. In 1985 Trinity Lutheran School added a church to the school building and in 2004 a new chapel and school expansion was dedicated. Trinity continues to grow and is excited to see where God will lead our church and school.
